Spring!

Spring is springing up already at Paboom!
We have started to receive some of our Spring stock, which is always exciting, colourful and fresh, and its selling quickly! We might be sold out of some items before Spring is officially here even!

Let's take a look at some things we are particularly excited about!
Felt placemats, coasters and bags:

These come in the best selection of bright solid colours to complement a fun dinner table, and the thick felt will protect surfaces, wet drinks and hot plates. I'm even thinking of using these for a crafting or decor project (its so hard to find good colours in super-thick felt!) so the possibilities are really endless!!

More trends, new products and pictures in the next post!

Cool homes in the NY Times

The New York Times style section features some great homes from time to time, with (I think) the most interesting ones in far-flung parts of the world, like Israel and Paraguay and Poland and the Swiss Alps. It's fun to fantasize about what your dream house would look like if it were on the other side of the world.

This adorable Italian-Korean family transformed their traditional Korean house into a crazy, ultra-modern, mostly lime-green marvel. It is lovely, and their creative use of space should be an inspiration to anyone faced with small square-footage. Take a look!

UMBRA YouDesign Competition

To celebrate 30 successful years, Umbra is holding a contest for you to show off your creative uses, interpretations, and personalization of your favourite Umbra products.
http://youdesignumbra.com/contest-details
The booth at ICFF showcased some seriously AMAZING work of several Pratt students who had customized the famous Oh! chair with detailed drawings.

The result is just beautiful! Who knew the already pretty awesome Oh! chair could be improved? Who thought drawing all over furniture with markers would make it way cooler? (Besides my little brother, that is.)
I'm lusting over this idea and hooking up with my sharpie markers for some serious DIY quality time soon.
More coverage of the ICFF/Pratt Oh chairs here and here.
